The Bank of Italy Becomes The Bank of America

Did you know...

That Amedeo Pete Giannini was born in 1870 in San Jose, California, to immigrant parents from Genova, Italy, and in 1904 at the age of 34, he founded the Bank of Italy in North Beach in San Francisco? In 1928 he bought the Bank of America, and by 1945 it became the largest bank in the United States. Today it is still called Bank of America with assets of approximately $572 billion.
